Davante Adams shoved a cameraman after the Raiders’ loss to the Chiefs on Monday night, but he won’t face discipline anytime soon.
According to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport, the Raiders wide receiver will not be disciplined until the legal process is complete.
Charges were filed by the cameraman against Adams for what happened.
“Davante Adams is unlikely to be sanctioned by the NFL until the end of legal proceedings, sources say. He will remain on the field until then,” Rapoport tweeted.
NFL fans have taken to social media to weigh in on what happened.
“They should just suspend him this week, he’ll learn,” one fan wrote.
“It’s a whole load of bullshit, let the guy play. The cameraman is just looking for a bag that doesn’t deserve it and the chief fans are sensitive so they accepted it,” a fan added.
“I don’t know why it’s taking so long. Lots of evidence,” another fan wrote.
“Absurd, this guy ran in front of him, he reacted. No one was hurt! What if we all act like men and move on,” another fan suggested.
The Raiders, meanwhile, are currently on their bye week. They are ready to face the Texans next weekend.
