MATCH CENTRAL: Louisiana – University of Tennessee Athletics

KNOXVILLE, Tennessee. – The Tennessee No.17 continues his non-conference game on Sunday, hosting Louisiana at Regal Soccer Stadium. The game, originally scheduled for 1 p.m., will now be played at 7 p.m. ET, and the match will be broadcast on SECN +.

The Volunteers enter the competition with a perfect 3-0 record this season, having beaten their opponents 14-0. The Ragin ‘Cajuns hold a 1-2 record, losing to Kentucky in their most recent outing, 5-0. Louisiana, which has reached the semi-finals of the Sun Belt Conference Championship in the past two seasons, was selected to finish fifth by league coaches in the 2021 preseason poll.

This will be the first confrontation between the two programs. UT holds a 5-0 record against opponents Sun Belt as Louisiana pursues its first victory against an SEC school, holding an all-time record of 0-25.

BIG TIME BENCH PLAY: In two games, the Tennessee bench has seven of the team’s 14 goals and nine of 15 assists.

LOCK DEFENSE: The Vols back line has limited opposing teams to a total of 16 shots and three corner kicks in the last three games.
